Peptidci

Peptitler (Grekçe: πεπτίδια; “bayağı sindirilebilirler”) tanımlanmış bir düzende, α-amino asitlerin birbirine rabıtalanmasıyla oluşan güdük polimerlerdir.[1] Bir amino asit kalıntısı ile diğeri arasındaki bağ bir “amit bağ” yahut peptit bağı olarak bilinir.[1]

Tetrapeptit (Oligopeptit)
Proteinler polipeptit molekülleridir (yahut çok nüshada polipeptit zir birimi barındırır). Omurga nüans peptitlerin güdük, polipeptitlerin/proteinlerin ise uzun olmasıdır.[1]

Protein sentezi sırasında her amino asit, başka amino asite kalıcı, kırılmayan bir polimer olan polipeptid zincirleriyle rabıtalanır. Polipeptid kuruluşsına hoşgörüsüzlan amino asitlerin her biri kuruluşya peptid rabıtalarıyla rabıtalanır. Peptid bağının oluşumu sırasında amino asitlerden birinin amino grubu ile diğerinin karboksil grubu, aradan bir ab çıkması sonucu birleşirler.[1]

Ortalama bir polipeptit zinciri 450 amino asitten oluşur.[1] Aşina en uzun polipeptit, yaklaşık 27,000 amino asitten oluşan, kas dokusunda kâin “titin”dir. Polipeptid zincirine hoşgörüsüzlan amino asitlere kalıntı (residue) adı verilir.[1] Zincirin bir ucundaki kalıntı, bağ yapmamış, sere serpe amino grubu barındırır ve N ucu olarak adlandırılır. Aynı şekilde zincirin başka ucundaki sere serpe α-karboksil grubu olan kalıntıevet C ucu adı verilir.
